Studying Geography at uni I learned in depth about how intertwined the social, cultural and natural worlds we live in are. Through practical conservation volunteering and working as a Healthcare Assistant in the NHS, I realised that I want to make a tangible difference to the world every day. I'm looking for a career where I can foster a healthy ecosystem and society for everyone to thrive.

- First class Geography with Professional Placement BSc (Hons) from the University of Manchester (2020 – 2024).
- A Levels: B in Geography; B in German; C in Art (2019); A in Russian (2018). A in EPQ (2019).
- 11 GCSES; 9 in Eng Lit, 7 in Eng Lang, and 7 in Maths (2017).
Qualifications
- Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF) (With Management of Catastrophic Bleeding). Completed 11/11/2025 and valid until 11/11/2028. Certificate number 3793086.
- Botanical Anatomy Field Studies Council course.
Most relevant experience
Over the course of a year as a Volunteer Officer at The Conservation Volunteers, I have learned to lead volunteer days with different demographics, from corporate volunteers to those who have been volunteering for decades. I've had leadership training which helped me understand the structure behind effectively running a task to ensure everyone gets involved and we all stay on time. As well as increasing my skills in a variety of practical conservation projects through teaching others, I've found out how a conservation charity works behind the scenes. I've also had great fun doing nature outreach days with school groups and families through the holidays.
For my Year in Industry during my degree, I was an intern at Ocean Science Consulting Ltd in Scotland. I annotated 1000 images of marine footage, identifying marine invertebrates growing on a North Sea structure, to train a machine learning model, and analysed species assemblage data using R and Excel. I researched and wrote a literature review on mammal monitoring and wrote a report explaining my own findings. While I don't plan to pursue marine science, getting involved in real scientific research was really valuable.
While I don't plan to work in healthcare, being a Healthcare Assistant since 2019 has developed invaluable skills of organisation, time management, communicating with a wide range of people in a busy environment and always thinking about accessibility.

By being a member of these organisations, I can connect with other landworkers and learn more about agroecology, coppicing and rewilding, as well as learning skills ranging from besom broom making to habitat surveying to cheesemaking!
